After becoming and staying alcohol free over the past year and a half, I've found a passion in birding. I like to watch the birds, have trouble identifying them, and can't take a good picture of them for the life of me. Enjoy my bad bird-tography and bird facts.

Wasps, yellow jackets, and bees are my friends

I am their water giant and they like to dry themselves off on my arm.

Hummingbird

Make your own hummingbird nectar by mixing a 1:4 ratio of white sugar and water. (Ex. 1 cup of sugar and 4 cups of water)
You'll need to either stir the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved, or you can boil the mixture as well.

IMPORTANT TIPS
Sugar needs to be completely dissolved prior to giving to the birds
Do not use red coloring or purchase red nectar. It is bad for the birds, instead use a red feeder to help to attract the birds
Do not put any oil on the feeders, regardless of bees or ants. It can get on the birds' feathers and can hinder the birds' flight.
